Termite Chemical Barrier Treatments Northern Rivers NSW
Termite Chemical Barriers have been used on our homes around Australia for over 50 years.
Chemical Barriers create a treated zone around the foundations and external perimeter of your home, this involves the application of a liquid termiticide to the soil which forms a barrier between the soil and the building structure and prevents termites from entering your home.
All Termite Chemical Barriers carried out by Northern Rivers Pest Control are performed in accordance with Australian Standards 3660 and involve the following process;
Initial Termite Inspection to all accessible areas
Gain access to concealed areas
Perform a termite colony search, test drill suspected trees and stumps
Carry out 1st part treatment which involves the application of a registerered termite dust to active termites and workings
Re-inspect treated areas 3-5 weeks after the initial treatment to ensure no live termites are present
Carry out 2nd part Chemical Barrier treatment which may involve trenching around, brick piers, foundation walls and the external perimeter of the premises, and may also involve drilling holes at 200mm centres or cutting a treatment strip to concrete slab areas, external paths and pavers adjoining the structure and the installation of a liquid termiticide to create a complete termite chemical barrier around your home
Carry out a follow up inspection after 2 months
