Often we will be called out to jobs where the elderly, disadvantaged and people with young children are surrounded by these disease spreading vermin and have been sharing their homes with them for a number of years.
People become used to their environment they learn to alive with cockroaches after a while and they except them as part of the furniture.
This should never be the case due to the advances in pest control technology cockroach treatments are very differant to what they once where.
When I first started in the industry nearly 20 years ago it was a big fuss to get your home treated for cockroaches first you had to empty all your kitchen cupboards and then arrange to be out of the house for 3 hours or more, if you had respiratory problems or where sensitive to chemicals you would have to be away from the home for 24 hours, even after this point you could still smell the strong solvents from the chemicals we used to gain an adequate level of control.
Thankfully this is no longer the case the technology and target specific pesticides available to us makes things alot easier, and more cost effective for you the home/business owner and the results are fantastic.
You can remain at home while we carry out the treatment, we dont use any strong smelling chemicals and you dont have to empty cupboards, within 24 hours you will start to see drastic results from the treatment and within 7 Days no more cockroaches.
We are so confident in our treatment procedures that we offer up to 12 months free service warranty with our residential cockroach treatments.

a few tips for keeping your home cockroach free;

Termite Baiting 1/19/2013 1:51:51 PM I have personally been working with termite baiting systems for around 15 years and I must say the results have been remarkable.
What a change we have gone through, in the early days of my pest control career the main method of termite nest eradication was the application of arsenic trioxide dust either directly into the nest or by applying it discretely to the termite workings the aim was to get as many termites as possible to come into contact with the dust and transfer it back to the nest.
Enter the Sentricon Colony Ellimination System, working with a company that was involved in trialing this product when it was first introduced to Australia around 15 years ago was very exciting to say the least, we could now really learn about termites, their biology and behaviour first hand and the results where amazing.

Over the past 15 years the product has undergone slight changes and many new and exciting baiting systems have come onto the market however the principle remains the same, elliminating the attacking colony through the consumption of a bait matrix which inhibits the termites ability to moult.

The beauty of these products is that whilst the attacking termite colony is consuming the bait they are unaware of the devastaing effect it will have on them until they reach the end of their moult cycle by which time the damage is done and the colony is undergoing ellimiation.

Along the way we see both physical and behavioural changes in the termites which to a trained eye helps us determine the sucess of the baiting program. These termite baits have a very low mamalian toxicity and are recognised as being environmentally friendly
.
The baits come in two basic forms one is a monitoring station which is placed around the external perimeter of the premises to detect foraging termites and a bait matrix is introduced when the termites are detected in the station, the second is commonly known as an above ground bait station that contains the active bait matrix and  is installed directly where termites are feeding.
These baits are monitored on a frequent basis usually monthly and additional baits added as required until colony ellimination has been determined, this could take anywhere from 3 to 18 months (usually 4-9 months) depending on the species of termite and distance of the nest from the premises in question.

Termite management has come along way and has never been safer for the home owner or more environmentally friendly, with ongoing training and the science behind these termite baiting systems constantly improving you the home owner can be assured of keeping your biggest asset safe from these timber munching critters.
